In a major development, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday summoned Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, among others for questioning in a drug probe that emerged from the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.According to the latest report on Times Now, Deepika, who is currently in Goa for her film shoot, is consulting her lawyers and seeking legal counsel via video call. She is expected to leave Goa shortly as she has been summoned for questioning on September 25. 

Reports further state that Deepika’s manager, Karishma Prakash has also been summoned on Friday for questioning. Karishma was summoned on Tuesday, but the talent manager could not appear before the agency on Tuesday due to ill-health. "Summons have been issued to Deepika, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh for questioning. Besides four Bollywood actors, the NCB has also summoned fashion designer Simone Khambatta," a senior NCB official told IANS on Wednesday.
