Legendary actor Dilip Kumar was laid to rest with full state honours at Juhu Qabrastan around 4:30 pm today in Mumbai. Dilip Kumar’s mortal remains were wrapped in Indian tricolor for state honours.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid a tribute to the thespian and shared on Twitter, “Dilip Kumar Ji will be remembered as a cinematic legend. He was blessed with unparalleled brilliance, due to which audiences across generations were enthralled. His passing away is a loss to our cultural world. Condolences to his family, friends and innumerable admirers. RIP.”

Earlier in the day, several Bollywood celebrities were seen arriving at Dilip Kumar’s residence to pay their last respects to the veteran actor. Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Karan Johar and Dharmendra among others were snapped at Dilip Kumar’s Bandra homeDilip Kumar breathed his last at Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital today (July 7). He was hospitalised since June 30. Last month, Dilip Kumar was hospitalised twice due to breathing issues. After being diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion and getting the proper treatment done, he was discharged on June 11. However, he started facing similar breathing issues again later last month and was again hospitalised. Dilip Kumar is survived by his wife Saira Banu.
