Gauri Khan distributes 95,000 food packets in Mumbai amid coronavirus lockdown
Following her superstar husband's footsteps Shah Rukh Khan's wife Gauri Khan has come forward and extended a helping hand to the poor and needy amidst the COVID-19 lockdown. The begum of Bollywood has distributed 95,000 food packets through Roti Bank Foundation and Mir Foundation's associates for those in need. The news was confirmed by the entrepreneur himself on her official Instagram account.
Recently, Shah Rukh contributed 25,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) kits to the Maharashtra Health Department for the safety of the doctors and healthcare workers in the State.Ever since the outbreak, the Khans, under the names of their companies, Red Chillies, Kolkata Knight Riders and Meer Foundation have donated money to PM CARES and CM of Maharashtra’s relief funds. They also offered their 4-storey building to the BMC to convert into quarantine facilities for patients in Mumbai.
