Actor Shreyas Talpade has found himself in legal trouble after being named in a chit fund scam case in Uttar Pradesh. An FIR has been registered against him and 14 others, leading to widespread speculation. However, Talpade has now addressed the allegations through a statement on his Instagram account. Responding to the reports, Talpade strongly denied the allegations, calling them "completely false and baseless." “In today's world, it is extremely unfortunate that a person’s hard-earned reputation is unnecessarily tarnished by baseless rumors. The recent reports accusing me of fraud or misconduct are completely untrue,” he wrote.
The actor further clarified that, as a public figure, he is often invited to corporate and annual events, but his association with such events does not mean he is involved in any fraudulent or illegal activities. “We request everyone to verify the facts before spreading false information and keep Talpade’s name away from these baseless rumors. Talpade is a law-abiding citizen who is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and professionalism in all his endeavors,” the statement concluded.
