After Rhea Chakraborty applied for bail after completing 14 days in judicial custody on Tuesday her lawyer Satish Manshinde revealed  that due to heavy rains in the city, the hearing may not happen. “Chief Justice has declared holiday today for Bombay high court and today’s board will be taken up tomorrow ie 24th Sept,” Rhea’s lawyer had shared in a statement. Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on September 9 and her 14-day judicial custody ended yesterday.

For the uninformed, Rhea was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on September 8 and was remanded to 14-day judicial custody till September 22 for her alleged involvement in a drug case linked to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. In NDPS court Tuesday, her judicial custody was extended till October 6. Apart from Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty and Sushant Singh Rajput’s personal staff members - Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda have also been sent to judicial custody for additional two weeks.  According to the latest updates in the probe, celebs including, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Dia Mirza, and Shraddha Kapoor are under the NCB scanner for their alleged involvement in drug use.
