Popular actor Hina Khan’s father passed away on Tuesday following a cardiac arrest. The actor, who was shooting in Kashmir for a music video, rushed back to Mumbai following her father’s demise. On Saturday, the actress took to her Instagram shared a statement on social media and revealed that she will be taking a break social media amid this period of mourning. The Naagin star wrote, “My beloved father Aslam Khan left for heavenly abode on the 20th April 2021. I am grateful to each one of you for checking in on me and my family during these tough times. While me and my family are mourning the loss, my social media accounts will be handled by my team for upcoming work commitments. Thank you for your support & love.” Hina, who was extremely close to her father used to often share pictures and videos featuring her father.
Hina rose to fame with her show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai before she took part in Bigg Boss season 11. She later worked in a web series and film as well. Last year, Hina appeared on Bigg Boss 14 as a ‘senior’, and was joined by former Bigg Boss winners Sidharth Shukla and Gauahar Khan. Khan was one of the Indian television industry's highest paid actresses in 2015 and 2016. Khan has also appeared as a guest in many serials. Her first guest appearance was in Kayamath in 2009 followed by Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil and Sabki Laadli Bebo. After that she appeared as a guest in Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and Chand Chupa Badal Mein in 2010. In 2011 she appeared as a Guest in Chef Pankaj Ka Zayka a cooking show. In December 2016, Khan made an appearance on Bigg Boss 10 as a panellist to support good friend Rohan Mehra. Hina was last seen in Stebin Ben’s recent track Bedard and has won millions of hearts with her performance. She also made the headlines as she has collaborated with Shaheer Sheikh for a project.
