Kamal Haasan breaks his silence on Delhi violence

The country has been reeling under the Delhi violence with many innocent people losing their lives. The death toll has risen to 18 with many of them left injured and public property being vandalised. Besides the general public, the mob also attacked press reporters and journalists who came to cover the attacks. Condemning the incident, actor Kamal Haasan tweeted,  "How can we allow these children of hate to run amok in my United and diverse India. Stop!Please return to reason, before it is too late. No religion propagates hate, only people do. India has survived such madness before, I sincerely hope it will again."

On the work front, Kamal Haasan will be next seen in Indian 2 which is being helmed by Shankar. The movie was lately in the news after a tragic inicdent claimed the lives of three people on the sets and over nine people got injured. The actor had a narrow escape from the incident. The 65-year old actor announced financial assistance of Rs. 1 crore for the deceased. Post the mishap the actor appealed to the film industry to take steps to protect the workers.
