Filmmaker Karan Johar who grew up in South Mumbai said that in the 80s not many kids in his locality were interested in Hindi cinema. "For me, today and every moment of Sridevi takes me back to my entire childhood and my entire being and my passionate love for movies and my absolute obsession with Hindi cinema. I think she has a large part to do with it. I can’t recall the moment when I felt madly in love with her. I was her biggest fan,” Karan said at a book launch on Sunday evening.Karan said he is biggest fan of Sridevi. Johar launched "Sridevi - The External Screen Gods" written by Satyarth Nayak in Mumbai. A few days ago it was launched by Deepika Padukone in Delhi. He said that his friends were not particularly interested in cinema but he used to sit at home and watch movies, especially Sridevi's films. Johar said, "I remember I saw 'Himmatwala' in the cinema hall with my domestic help. I saw this film many times and watched every movie after that as well. My love story started with her like this and it just never ended. "He also said that instead of his father Yash Johar's film 'Muqaddar Ka Faisala', he went to see Sridevi's 'Mr. India', which upset his father very much.
