Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have once again requested privacy for their daughter, Raha Kapoor, asking paparazzi to avoid taking her pictures. Their appeal comes in the wake of the recent controversy involving Saif Ali Khan, which has made many Bollywood celebrities more cautious about media interactions.
On March 14, ahead of Alia’s birthday, the actress celebrated a pre-birthday bash with the paparazzi. During the interaction, Ranbir Kapoor addressed the media, emphasizing the mutual respect between celebrities and photographers. "I was born and raised in Mumbai, and I have seen this industry since childhood. You all are like family to us. We don’t feel the need to take legal action. We call you and request you not to take pictures of our daughter, and you listen to us. It’s a mutual understanding we support you, and you support us. So, we aren’t here to file cases or create issues, but as parents, we try to protect our child."
"Anyone can take a photo with their phone and make it go viral. We can’t control that, but we can at least request you (paparazzi) to be considerate. We don’t want to impose anything on you. If we go to the airport or any event, please wait until Raha gets inside the car or venue. Then, we will come and pose for you. Even if you capture her occasionally, that’s okay, but please don’t overdo it."
Previously, Ranbir and Alia had arranged a no-photo policy for Raha, with paparazzi largely respecting their wishes. However, with increased media scrutiny, the couple has now reiterated their request for privacy. While Raha's adorable pictures continue to create a buzz whenever they surface, her parents remain committed to shielding her from excessive media attention, ensuring she enjoys a normal childhood away from the public eye.
