Prakash Raj Criticizes Pawan Kalyan Over Language Remarks, Calls Jana Sena ‘Bhajan Sena’
The language debate in South India has now spilled over into the film industry, with actor Prakash Raj criticizing Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan over his recent remarks on linguistic politics. Pawan Kalyan accused Tamil Nadu leaders of hypocrisy in their stand on language. He pointed out that while Tamil leaders oppose Hindi, they allow Tamil films to be dubbed in Hindi for financial gain. Speaking at his Jana Sena Party anniversary event, he questioned.
Pawan Kalyan's tweet reads, "If they don’t want Hindi, then why do they dub Tamil films in Hindi to earn money? They want Bollywood’s financial benefits but refuse to accept the language. What kind of logic is this? They criticize laborers from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar but reject their language too."
Either imposing a language forcibly or opposing a language blindly; both doesn’t help to achieve the objective of National &Cultural integration of our Bharat.

I had never opposed Hindi as a language. I only opposed making it compulsory. When the NEP 2020 itself does not…
In response to Kalyan's remarks veteran actor Prakash Raj, known for his outspoken political views, has now slammed Pawan Kalyan, stating that the language issue is not about hating other languages but about preserving one’s mother tongue. Taking a dig at Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party, Prakash Raj tweeted, "Before the elections, it was the Jana Sena. Now, it has become the Bhajan Sena."
"మీ హిందీ భాషను మా మీద రుద్దకండి", అని చెప్పడం ఇంకో భాషను ద్వేషించడం కాదు, “ స్వాభిమానంతో మా మాతృభాషను, మా తల్లిని కాపాడుకోవడం", అని పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారికి ఎవరైనా చెప్పండి please... 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 #justasking

This implies that Pawan Kalyan’s party, which once stood for regional issues, is now allegedly aligning with the pro-Hindi stance of the BJP. The controversy has intensified the long-standing debate over language imposition in Tamil Nadu. The state has historically resisted the imposition of Hindi, advocating for the promotion of Tamil and other regional languages.

Pawan Kalyan’s remarks have further fueled tensions, especially with Tamil Nadu’s DMK government and South Indian film industry figures like Prakash Raj, who have firmly opposed Hindi dominance.
