After it was reported that Sushant Singh Rajput met his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty on June 13, the night before his mysterious death, Rhea's lawyer Satish Maneshinde has denied the news. He said, "I had said that once Rhea Chakraborty is out on bail we will start going after people, who defamed and tried to destroy her life n morale, for a two-minute glory on electronic media carrying fake news. "Furthermore, he added, "One such person was Dimple Thawani, a neighbour of RC who claims she is an SSR fan and believes she is his soulmate due to a past life connection. She claims that someone told her that SSR dropped RC home on the 13th."
Maneshinde continued, "It's a baseless rumour by a fan, who is part of the media circus and wants to share the limelight with others who claim to know SSR. Her statement was recorded by CBI today and you will all be glad to know what she said to CBI in her statement. I would request all honest Journalists to go to her now and record what she has to say. Satya Meva Jayate.". Sushant was found dead in his Mumbai home on the afternoon of June 14. The case is now being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation while the Enforcement Directorate and Narcotics Control Bureau have also launched parallel investigations. Rhea earlier said that she last spoke to Sushant on June 8, after which they had a tiff and she blocked him on WhatsApp. However, a new report quotes BJP leader Vivekanand Gupta as saying that an eyewitness saw Sushant dropping Rhea home on the night of June 13, between 2 and 3 am. The report also claims that a ‘big politician’ was celebrating his birthday that night. Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court has also pronounced many conditions as it granted bail to Rhea. Apart from furnishing a bail amount of one lakh, the court has asked the actress to mark her presence for 10 days at the nearest police station. Apart from that, it is also reported that Rhea has been asked to deposit her passport.
