Riteish Deshmukh is set to direct and star in the upcoming bilingual film 'Raja Shivaji', portraying the revered Maratha king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Announced on February 19, 2024, coinciding with Shivaji Jayanti, the film will be released in both Marathi and Hindi languages.
'Raja Shivaji' marks Deshmukh's second directorial venture, following the success of his debut film 'Ved' in 2022. The project is a collaboration between his production house, Mumbai Film Company, and Jio Studios
