John Abraham is all set to join Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. John Abraham and Rohit Shetty are working on a project that depicts the life of a real hero, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria. The budget of this biopic is Rs 100 crore. The movie will focus on how a random Bandra Boy became a top cop and saved Mumbai. The movie’s name will be ‘Actioner,’ according to media reports. The film’s shoot is expected to wrap up in four months. Rohit Shetty’s biopic will be shot across 40 different locations in Mumbai. They will shoot at many iconic locations of Mumbai like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Dongri, and the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. The shoot will commence on April 18.

John Abraham told Pinkvilla that the story of the film he was working on with Rohit Shetty was very unique. According to the Mid Day report, Rohit Shetty is directing a movie that is based on the life of Rakesh Maria, a former Mumbai Police Commissioner. The film will tell the story from the 1993 Bombay blast investigation to dealing with the 26/11 terrorist strikes. In the movie, John will be the main character. After much waiting, Maria and Shetty are finally beginning their conversation. The film will follow the tale of a Bandra youngster who became a police officer, his relationship with Mumbai, and how he was instrumental in defending the city from numerous attacks, using the autobiography as a guide.

Fans believed that Salman Khan and Rohit Shetty would work together in the Cop Universe following his appearance as Chulbul Pandey in Singham Again. But Shetty is now working on a different project. The filmmaker is currently getting ready to adapt former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria's true narrative for the big screen.
