Bollywood superstars Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan welcomed a baby boy on Sunday, February 21. Kareena was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday night. The couple had in August last year announced in a joint statement that they are expecting a second baby. Their firstborn Taimur Ali Khan was born on December 20, 2016. Overwhelmed with the love coming their way, the Nawab of Pataudi has released a statement about the arrival of his baby boy. In the statement, Saif has confirmed the birth of his son and mentioned that mommy Kareena and the baby are doing well and are healthy. 

He also expressed his gratitude towards fans and well wishers for their love and support in their journey of parenthood once again. “We have been blessed with a baby boy. Mom and baby are safe and healthy. Thank you to our well wishers for their love and support,” Saif Ali Khan stated in the statement. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra and the entertainment magazine Filmfare took to Twitter to congratulate the couple, also known as Saifeena, on the new addition to their family. Kareena continued to work during her pregnancy as she worked on her show What Women Want, among others. Saif Ali Khan earlier said in an interview with Filmfare that they are relatively more relaxed this time around. Kareena was last seen in Angrezi Medium along with late Irrfan Khan, Ranvir Shorey, and Radhika Madan. The actress will next be seen in Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha which is a Hindi remake of Hollywood classic Forrest Gump.
