Mumbai, Maharashtra (April 14, 2025): Mumbai Police have detained a 26-year-old man from Vadodara in connection with a threat message sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police regarding actor Salman Khan. The suspect has been identified as Mayank Pandya.

As per the information, the threat message was sent via WhatsApp to the Mumbai Traffic Control Room helpline around 6 PM on Sunday. The message warned that the actor would be attacked inside his home. It also threatened to blow up his vehicle with a bomb. Police traced the origin of the message to Vadodara and detained the accused for questioning.

His family claims that he has been mentally ill and undergoing treatment since 2014. Police are now in the process of verifying the medical history and mental health records provided by the family. Police said further investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the threat and to assess the suspect's condition.
The actor has been facing constant threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang since April 2024. In January 2025, the actor upgraded the security of his residence by installing bulletproof glass on the balcony of his home.
