After Ranbir’s mother recently confirmed that the actor has tested positive for coronavirus and is on medication for the same, Alia’s Gangubai Kathiawadi director Sanjay Leela Bhansali had also tested positive for Covid-19. Now as per a reports, Ayan will not resume the final schedule until Ranbir is fully recovered. On the other hand, the unit of Gangubai Kathiawadi in Film City too underwent another round of screening.

Bhansali had filmed portions with Ajay Devgn in the last week of February. The director had moved on to a patchwork shoot. However, the shoot has now come to a standstill as the director is practising isolation in his Juhu office. While Brahmastra release date is to be announced, Alia’s Gangubai Kathiawadi will release in cinemas on July 30. Interestingly, RK was shooting for the last leg of Brahmastra, before he tested positive for Covid. Ayan Mukerji's dream project, Brahmastra, was announced in 2018. Brahmastra is said to be the first part of a trilogy, and it was supposed to release by August 2019. The movie was pushed to Christmas, then to February 2020, and finally to December 2020 due to the pending VFX work and remaining shoot. However, because of the country’s pandemic situation, the makers halted the shoot temporarily, and its release was pushed indefinitely. This will be the first time that we will see Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor together on-screen.
