After the forensic reports of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) ruled out murder in Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, Chetan Bhagat in a recent interview slammed people doubting the post-mortem reports of the late actor. Calling the entire discussion on SSR’s death a “ tamasha”, Bhagat stated that he has never been to AIIMS, but believes it to be one of the “hardest” places to get an admission or job. Citing a comparison with the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, he further claimed to get “angry” if anyone calls the institution “corrupt” and asked those doubting the AIIMS report to show him “proof” in this matter. During the interview, the author also added that people are only speaking against the reports because they don’t like what it states and hence it must be “untrue” because “they” are the “only honest ones.”

Following the AIIMS report, Vikas Singh wrote a letter to the CBI, calling for the matter to be referred to another forensic team. In the letter, Singh wrote that despite the best efforts of Rajput’s family to get a copy of the forensic report, there has been no response from Dr Sudhir Gupta. Dr Gupta is the head of the six-member AIIMS panel which, in its report to the CBI, ruled out the murder angle in the actor’s death. In a report submitted to the agency on September 29, the panel had said there were ‘no injuries on Rajput’s body other than of hanging’ nor was ‘presence of any sedative material’ detected. Sushant Singh Rajput’s case has been grabbing nationwide attention right from the beginning. Millions of fans of the late actor, celebs, and his loved ones have been seeking justice for him through social media and other means. Sushant was found dead in his Bandra residence on June 14. In the latest development, on the case, Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant, who got bail along with Rhea Chakraborty, were released from Taloja, Navi Mumbai, on Thursday.
