Swara Bhasker Reveals How She is Raising Daughter Raabiyaa with Rituals from All Faiths

Swara Bhasker, known for her outspoken nature, frequently makes headlines and often faces online criticism. Following her interfaith marriage to politician Fahad Ahmed in 2023 and the birth of their daughter, Raabiyaa Rama, Swara has openly shared her thoughts on motherhood, interfaith traditions, and cultural beliefs.

In a recent interview, Swara revealed that she is blending rituals from various religions while raising her daughter, saying, “I don’t disbelieve in anything.” She emphasized the importance of exposing Raabiyaa to diverse traditions, ensuring she grows up in an environment that celebrates multiple cultures.

Recalling her own childhood, Swara shared, “When I was a child, I wouldn’t eat, so my father used to tell me stories from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. Before the climax, he would make me finish my food before revealing the ending. It was such a beautiful and seamless way to introduce children to culture.”

Discussing her approach to parenting, Swara explained, “Now that our daughter, Raabiyaa, is born, I keep telling Fahad, ‘Let’s perform rituals from all religions and cultures so that she’s protected.’ We did rituals for her from every faith, and then I was like, ‘Koi Christian ritual bhi hai kya? (Is there any Christian ritual as well?)’ When she coughs or falls ill, I ask Fahad to recite a prayer.”

On the work front, Swara was last seen in the 2022 films Jahaan Chaar Yaar and Mimansa. She will next be seen in Mrs. Falani, though the film’s release date has yet to be announced.
