India From Above

National Geographic has announced a two-part special series India from Above with actor Dev Patel as the narrator to celebrate the country’s 73rd Independence Day. The series will bring alive India in all its glory showcasing the geographical, cultural, technological, and historical aspects of the country. It has been shot across one year and four seasons, across different terrains.The show, which airs on August 14 and 15, will explore the stories of modern India’s unique connection with its mystic roots and showcase the country’s natural wonders.

 

Comedy Nights with Kapil

August 15 marks a grand celebration on The Kapil Sharma Show. To celebrate the Independence Day, Kapil Sharma will welcome the music composer duo Salim-Sulaiman on the show. Amid revelations, the duo will also entertain the audience with musical rendition of their chartbuster songs. Celebrate this Independence Day with The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony Entertainment Television at 9:30pm.

Saara Akaash 

Starring Sai Deodhar, Kiran Kumar, Sonal Sehgal and Shakti Anand, this fictional television show aired in 2003 that showcased the professional and personal lives of Indian Air Force officers. Set against the vast picture of Indian Air Force. 

 

The Sword of Tipu Sultan

The Sword of Tipu Sultan was a historical drama series on Indian television. The story is based on the novel by bhagwan Gidwani, a portrayal of the life of the ruler the Mysore, Tipu Sultan. Sanjay Khan, director, producer and actor has produced and also acted as Tipu Sultan while starting an era of making mega serials.

 

Fauji 

With Shah Rukh Khan’s debut, this show propelled him to become a household name. This was an extremely popular show about a set of trainees into a commando school, their training and induction as soldiers. Abhimanyu Singh, portrayed by SRK, was one of the main characters of the show.
