Popular television actors and siblings, Sreedhar and Jaya Kalyani were found dead at their residence in Chennai. According to reports, the duo's neighbours sensed a foul smell emanating from their building and alerted the police. Their body was recovered in a decomposed state in Kodungaiyur Muthamizh Nagar.

Speculations are rife that both actors were going through a financial crisis due to the current shutdown of shoots owing to the COVID-19 outbreak and lockdown. The  bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem and police is investigating the case. This is the fourth suicide case from the showbiz industry after Sushant Singh Rajput's tragic demise.
