Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi's brother-in-law Aditya Alva's name has emerged amid the ongoing investigation in the high profile Sandalwood Drug case. In a First Information Report (FIR), the Central Crime Branch (CCB) police reportedly named 12 people in connection with the contraband drugs scandal in Sandalwood. One of the accused named in the FIR is Vivek's brother-in-law, Aditya, who is the son of former Karnataka minister Jeevaraj Alva and Nandini Alva. Vivek's brother-in-law is accused of using banned drugs in the Sandalwood industry of Karnataka. Besides Aditya, popular actress Ragini Dwivedi is also booked by the CCB in the drug case. According to the report filed by ETimes, Vivek's brother-in-law is yet to be taken into custody. 

The report added that the CCB officers are on the lookout for Aditya after his name was mentioned in the FIR. Aditya is believed to be one of the popular faces, especially in the celebrity party scenes.  If reports are to be believed, Aditya is booked under the NDPS Act along with Shivaprakash, Ragini Dwivedi, Veeren Khanna, Prashant Ranka, Vaibhav JainLoom Pepper Samba, Prashanth Raju, Ashwin, Abhiswamy, Rahul Thonshe, and Vijay. "We have filed a suo motu FIR (first information report) at the Cottonpet police station in the city against Ragini and others, including drug peddlers Shivaprakash, Ravi Shankar, Rahul Shetty and party planner Viren Khanna for their drug links in the Kannada film industry," city joint commissioner of police Sandeep Patil revealed to the reporters.
