June 14, 2021, will mark Sushant Singh Rajput’s first death anniversary. The late actor was one of the most celebrated actors in Bollywood amongst the younger generation. It was his stint as the lead Manav in the show Pavitra Rishta (2009–2011) that made him a household name. Riding high on success, Sushant would go on to make his debut in Bollywood with the 2013 hit Kai Po Che, following it with a number of projects, including the titular role in the sports biopic of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Filmmaker Rumy Jafry had revealed in a media interaction that Sushant used to share his thoughts about quitting the film industry and do farming or plant trees across the nation. The director also added that at times the actor would want to become a scientist so that he could invest in something and at other times he would just want to go to his Lonavala house and stay alone. Rumy had reportedly added that Sushant had informed him about his depression. The director would often attempt to cheer him up but never asked the reason behind his state. Sushant was supposed to star in Rumy Jafry’s next untitled film with his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.Sushant was found hanging in his apartment. The case of his death is being investigated by three central agencies including the CBI, ED, and the Narcotics Control Bureau.
