Women's Day Special: When Woman Support Each Other, the Support Is Unstoppable, Says Shivani Kapila aka LittleGlove
Shivani, you've built a strong community around parenting and child development. How do you think your content has empowered women, particularly mothers, in their parenting journey?
"Sometimes, all we need is a small pat on the back! With so much information available today, I believe mothers are already well-informed. However, parenting comes with new challenges every day, and since I experience them firsthand with Aadya, I get a chance to connect with my fellow moms through my content. These videos are not just about validation; they serve as a quick refresher on motherhood—the lessons we’ve learned, the readings we’ve done—it’s like a recap for moms who are navigating similar challenges. It’s about building a support system where we learn and grow together."
As a content creator and educator, how do you incorporate women's empowerment into your work, especially in the context of family and children's education?
"A lesser-known fact about Littleglove is that my team consists of over 15 strong women, each striving to prove something to society. One of them is partially blind, yet she continues to grow and inspire. We’ve created an ecosystem of empowerment, where we uplift and train women in skills like shooting, editing, modeling, stitching, and makeup—helping them become financially independent and self-sufficient.
With Aadya, we believe that education is not just about reading books—it’s about experiencing the world. If she’s learning about rivers, we take her to see one. If she’s learning about stars, we stargaze. Hands-on learning is the foundation of growth, not just for children but for the women in my team as well."
What message would you like to give to women who are balancing family responsibilities with their career or personal passions?
"You’re doing an amazing job, girls! Never doubt yourself because you are teaching your children to be strong, passionate, and balanced. You are their inspiration! So pull up your socks, give me a big smile, and believe in yourself—because you’re already winning!"
Women’s Day is a celebration of women across the globe. How do you believe women can support each other in creating more inclusive and empowering spaces, especially in parenting and education?
"We are growing together, and I see this community becoming stronger every day. But we need more spaces, more events, and more opportunities for mothers to connect, learn, and build something bigger. When moms support each other, the impact is unstoppable."
How do you envision the role of women evolving in the next decade, especially in the realms of education, parenting, and content creation?
Shivani: "The most beautiful thing about this community is that mothers are known for love, patience, and selflessness—and through this journey, I have met the most incredible women! I believe that if we get more platforms and opportunities, we can empower even more women to step up and shine. Right now, I see so many of us already evolving, already making our mark. But by the next decade, I see today’s struggling mothers becoming leaders, content creators, and changemakers. We may see hustle and struggle today, but within these hustlers are the game-changers of tomorrow."
As a mother yourself, how do you find balance in managing your personal life, your online presence, and the Gurukul?
Shivani: "Running GEMS (Gurukul English Medium School) is my passion, and I feel grateful to be a part of it. They say that if you truly want something, discipline is key—and that’s how I manage everything. I am a person of routine, rules, and deadlines. I don’t need a boss to check on me—I hold myself accountable. Parenting is the best part of my day, and Aadya’s smile makes everything worth it. Content creation is now in my blood. I’ve been doing this for five years, and I believe that growing gradually over time makes balancing everything much easier."
What is one piece of advice you would give to young girls and women who are striving to make an impact in their communities?
"There will be days when you feel low, when it seems like you have no support, or when everything feels impossible. In those moments, remind yourself of the impact you’re making—think about how many lives you are touching and inspiring without even realizing it. And most importantly—thank you for doing this. You are changing the world in ways you don’t even know yet!"
How do you think your content has empowered women, particularly mothers, in their parenting journey?
"When women support each other, the impact is unstoppable. Together, we can create a space where we grow, learn, and empower one another."
