A total of 148 persons tested positive in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, taking the total number of cases in the Union Territory to 4,878.

A statement issued by the information and public relations department said that 148 persons tested positive on Saturday, 110 in Kashmir division and 38 in Jammu division.

Two patients succumbed to the dreaded virus on Saturday, taking the Covid-19 death toll in the UT to 55.

The number of active cases is 2,554 in J&K, out of which 741 are in Jammu division and 1,813 are in Kashmir division.
