A total of 161 persons tested positive for coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday as the total number of COVID-19 patients in the union territory crossed 4,500.

A statement issued by the information and public relations department said 161 tested positive on Wednesday, 46 in Jammu division and 115 in Kashmir division, as the total number of COVID-19 patients reached 4,507 in J&K.

So far, 51 patients have died of the dreaded virus in J&K while 1,671 have completely recovered.

The number of active cases is now 2,785 in J&K out of which 712 are in Jammu division and 2,073 are in Kashmir division.
