23-day-old recovers from Covid-19 in Telangana

Health Minister Eatala Rajender expressed happiness over recovery of the 23-day-old, said to be the youngest Covid-19 patient in the country.The 13 children were among 32 patients discharged in Telangana on Wednesday while the state recorded only seven new cases.

A 23-day-old was among 13 children who have recovered from Covid-19 in Telangana on Wednesday.

The infant from Mahabubnagar district was discharged from state-run Gandhi Hospital, the state's nodal centre for Covid-19 patients.

Carrying the tiny tot in her arms, the mother was seen walking out of the hospital. The hospital staff gave a warm send-off to the youngest Covid-19 patient and other children by presenting them balloons and toys.

The 13 children were among 32 patients discharged in Telangana on Wednesday while the state recorded only seven new cases.

This was the third straight day in a row that Telangana reported new cases in single digit. With this the total number of cases rose to 1,016.

The number of recoveries has also moved to 409. The fatalities stand at 25.
