Telangana on Monday reported 41 new cases of COVID-19, taking the state's tally to 1592.

While 26 people were tested positive in Greater Hyderabad, 12 migrants were also found infected. Medchal district too reported three cases.

With 12 more migrants testing positive, the total number of migrants infected rose to 69.

The death toll remained unchanged at 34 as no deaths were reported on Monday.

According to the director of public health and family welfare, 10 people were discharged from hospital on Monday. With this the cumulative number of people cured/discharged rose to 1,002.

The official said the number of active cases now stands at 556.

As the movement of people has eased following relaxations in the lockdown by the Centre, the state is dealing with a large number of arrivals of passengers from other states.

These people are reaching the state through trains or by private vehicles.

A large number of migrants tested positive so far belongs to Maharashtra, the worst affected state in the country.

Telangana shares borders with Maharashtra. Meanwhile, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao while announcing a series of relaxations in the lockdown from Tuesday said inter-state bus services would not resume.

Rao said since both Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh registered large number of COVID-19 cases, Telangana would neither give consent to send their buses into the state nor operate its buses to the neighbouring states.

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) will operate inter-district bus services. As a precautionary measure, city bus services will not be operated in Hyderabad.
