Chandra Grahan 2025: Dos & Don’ts Pregnant Ladies Should Follow During Lunar Eclipse
The first total Lunar Eclipse of 2025 will take place on Holi, i.e., on March 14. The Lunar Eclipse will not be visible in India, hence, the Sutak Kaal - a time which is considered inauspicious to buy or do anything new - will not be observed in India. The Lunar Eclipse, also known as a Blood Moon, is a rare event that might impact pregnant ladies. It might affect their physical and mental well-being.
The eclipse will start at 09:29 AM and end at 03:29 PM on March 14.
Here are some do’s and don’ts pregnant ladies must follow:
Staying indoors during this time is recommended to all the exceptant mothers. The eclipse is considered an energetic reset. Hence, it is advised that pregnant ladies should avoid direct exposure to that sudden shift.
They should chant mantras and engage in spiritual activities. The ‘Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra’ or ‘Santaan Gopal Mantra’ provides spiritual protection.
Pregnant women can also add Tulsi leaves to food and water. It is considered a natural purifier and is said to counteract any malefic planetary influences.
They can also place silver coins near the stomach as silver has been associated with calming lunar energies.
Avoiding a direct view of the eclipse is one of the most popular beliefs. The assumption that cosmic disturbances can affect the developing foetus is the basis for this. Many people nevertheless adhere to this more conventional viewpoint as a precaution.
They should not keep any sharp objects like knives, scissors, needles, etc. This attracts negative energy.
After the eclipse ends, pregnant ladies should take a bath and add gangajal in the water. Taking a bath will disperse all the negative energies of the eclipse.
