Advertisements for bone strengthening products frequently claim that women's bones become brittle in their 40's. Many pharmaceutical companies introduce products targeting bone health, emphasizing the gradual decline in bone strength as a serious concern. While these claims are not entirely false, it is crucial for every woman to understand why bone health deteriorates.

The reality is that bones do not weaken suddenly after forty the process starts much earlier. Many women experience fatigue, shortness of breath, and difficulty bending or lifting objects, often ignoring these signs. This growing issue has been highlighted by Dr. Hansaji Yogendra and Dr. H.S. Chandrika in their discussions on bone health.

Why Do Women Experience Bone Weakness?

The incidence of osteoporosis is rising among women. This condition causes bone loss, reduced bone density, and increased fragility, making fractures more likely. The risk is significantly higher during menopause, as the estrogen hormone—responsible for maintaining bone strength decreases sharply. As a result, bones become weaker and more prone to breaking. However, there are preventive measures that every woman can take to maintain strong and healthy bones.
