A penumbral lunar eclipse which will take place on 5 June 2020 will be much more subtle than a total eclipse. A lunar eclipse occurs when Earth places itself between the Sun and the moon. Astronomers across the world have termed this years lunar eclipse as 'Strawberry Moon Eclipse'.

Chandra Grahan 2020 Timings: The Chandra Grahan will begin at 11:15 PM on June 5 and it will end at 2:34 AM on June 6. The entire phenomenon will last for approximately 3 hours and 19 minutes.

Lunar eclipses are considered harmful for pregnant women in many countries including India. It is believed that this may affect fetal development. Some people even believe that this can lead to an ugly or physically handicapped child. It is commonly believed that eclipse can pregnant women and their foetuses. It is believed that eclipse can result in crooked joints and fingers. 

It is also said that eclipse affects every zodiac sign. But the effect of lunar eclipse lasts for 108 days for a pregnant woman and child. 

A pregnant woman should pray at home during the eclipse period without touching the deity idol. It has also been told that a pregnant woman should not step out of the house during eclipse.

Not only this, they are given many types of advice and suggestions to avoid any kind of to avoid any unforeseen circumstances. 

For example- - Avoid using sharp things like needles and scissors - Avoid eating anything during the eclipse - Get enough rest during the eclipse period - Do not let the external rays enter the house - Take a shower after the eclipse is over - During the eclipse do not cook anything - Do not drink water during the eclipse
