Wellington, Sep 8 New Zealand reported six new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, taking the overall caseload in the country to 1,431, according to the Health Ministry.

The new cases comprised two imported ones in managed isolation facilities and four community infections, reports Xinhua news agency.

The two cases in managed isolation were a man and a woman who arrived in the same flight from the Philippines on September 3.

There are four new cases in the community were all linked to the Mt Roskill Evangelical Fellowship Church group within the Auckland August cluster.

Auckland Regional Public Health is actively tracing and testing their contacts, the Ministry said.

Meanwhile, border and managed isolation and quarantine facility workers will be required to undergo regular Covid-19 tests, the government announced on Monday.

From August 31, adults on all public transport in New Zealand were required to wear face coverings to prevent virus transmission, with fines for non-compliance.
