Chinese Media Reacts to Indian Exit Polls: Predicts Modi's Third Term and Emphasizes Sino-Indian Cooperation
China's Government-run media Global Times has reacted directly to the exit polls ahead of the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections. It has stated that the Modi government could come to Power in India once again.

Political experts in China say the Modi government will maintain domestic policy and foreign policy. It will continue its efforts to boost and grow India's economy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to form the government for the third time, the Global Times reported.
Chinese experts stressed on cooperation between India and China. There will be open talks between the two countries to resolve differences. The Global Times said it hoped the dialogue would continue and stated that India's foreign policy is not expected to change.
Meanwhile, Qian Feng, director of the research department at Beijing's Tsinghua University's National Strategy Institute, said Modi's focus will be on making the country the world's third-largest economy after the US and China in a few years after winning the elections. Modi will also try to focus on enhancing India's influence across the world through strategic political diplomacy. "It is important for India to have a strategic approach to its relations with China. India should cooperate with China in resolving differences through dialogue. The conflict between China and India is unlikely to escalate. China's relations with many countries, including U.S. allies such as Japan and Australia, are improving", the article added.
