Countries with zero coronavirus patients till date

The number of cases of the novel coronavirus across the globe crossed the 1 million- mark as the global death toll rose to over 45,000. In India, the number of cases climbed to 2,301 and the death toll to 56. However as the world battles the fight against the virus there are few countries wwho are yet to report the first positive case. Let us have a look at some of them.

North Korea

North Korea claims that it has not had a single positive case of corona virus till April 3. However, experts across the globe state that about 200 of its soldiers have died due to Kovid-19.

South SudanSouth Sudan is one of the 6 countries in its continent where there has not been a single case of Coronavirus reported so far.

YemenYemen which has a population of 3 crore is yet to report a positive case. The country over the years has survived civil war, poverty and hunger.

BurundiIt is the second African country to have protected itself from infection with Corona so far.

MalawiThe East African country Malawi is also included in nine countries where this deadly virus has not arrived.  

LisothoKnown for mountains and jungle safaris, the country is yet to report a positive the other reason why the country has managed to curb the arrival of the virus is due to the precautionary measures underaken by the government.

TurkmenistanInterestingly, even before the first case reaches the country the govt decided to first ban the name coronavirus giving them a psycological advantage. It is among the few countries which has managed to stay away from COVID-19 pandemic.

Sao Tome and PrincipeSao Tome and Principe with a meagre population of two lakhs, have so far survived the coronavirus pandemic.
