Germany: One Killed, Several Injured After Car Hits Protesters Munich; Driver Arrested (Watch Video)

At least one person was killed, and several others were injured in Munich city of Germany, after a car drove into protesters during a trade union march on Thursday morning (Munich local time), February 13. According to the organisers’ announcement from the stage in Königsplatz, a car drove into a crowd of protesters, killing one of the protesters.

Local media reports that the accident took place near the Dachauer Straße/Seidel Straße intersection, and an ambulance with emergency crews provided medical assistance to the injured people at the scene of the accident. The driver of the car was arrested by the police.

The union, however, decided to cancel the rally immediately. More details are awaited.
