The leader of Iran's Revolutinary Guard has threatened to set ablaze places that are supported by the United States. The declaration comes after Gen. Qassem Soleimani a top Iranian general was killed in a U.S airstrike in Baghdad last week. Hossein Salami made the pledge before a crowd of thousands gathered in the hometown of the slain General Qassem Soleimani. His vow mirrored the demands of the top Iranian officials. Right from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to others as well as supporters across Islamic Republic, demanding retaliation against US for slaying that's drastically raised tensions across Middle East.

Mourners in Kerman dressed in black posters bearing the image of Soleimani, a man who slaying prompted Iran's supreme leader to weep over his casket. The outpouring of grief was an unprecedented honor for a man viewed by Iranians as a national hero. America blamed him for the killing of American troops in Iraq and accused him of plotting new attacks just before his death on Friday in a drone strike at Baghdad's airport.

Soleiman's death has pushed Tehran to abandon the remaining limits of its 2015 nuclear deal with world powers as his successor and others vow to take revenge. In Baghdad, the parliament has called for the explusion of all American troops from Iraqi soil, something analysts fear could Islamic State militants to mount a comeback. Officials brought Soleimani's remains and others killed in the airstrike to a central square in the city of Kerman, a desert city surrounded by mountains that dates back to the days of the Silk Road. Salami praised the deceased general's exploits and said as a martyr, he even posed greater threat to Iran's enemies. "We will take revenge. We will ablaze where they like, Salami said, drawing the cries of Death to Israel!
