A group of foreign delegates was taken to areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to see for themselves if the Indian Army had destroyed four terror camps, Pakistani media reports said on Tuesday.

Pakistan wanted to show to the world that Indian claims of smashing of terror launch pads are false.

Pakistan's foreign office spokesperson Mohammad Faisal said, "The diplomats were taken to the Nauseri, Shahkot and Jura sectors near the LoC, as well as the Nausada village, which has suffered severe damage in attacks by Indian troops. The trip was arranged so that they can verify for themselves the claims made by Indian army chief General Bipin Rawat."

Inter-Services Public Relations Director Major General Asif Ghafoor briefed the diplomats and media persons about the situation in the area after the attack.

The visitors were also shown remains of the artillery shells that were allegedly fired by the Indian troops from across the LoC, said Ghafoor.

Ghafoor added that the foreign diplomats visited Jura bazaar and met the local population and shopowners and witnessed firsthand the damage inflicted on the shops and houses that he said were claimed to be launch pads by India.

"It's all innocent people being targeted by India," Ghafoor said.

Ghafoor added that India was also invited to visit the alleged terror camps to "prove" its claim on the ground. "Indian High Commission staff didn't have the courage to accompany fellow diplomats in Pakistan to LoC", he said.

Pakistan also rejected the Indian claim of destroying the terror launch pads inside PoK as a "pack of lies".
