Pakistan Train Hijack Update: 155 Rescued, 27 Militants Killed, Jaffar Express Hostages Still in Danger

Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a militant organization, claimed responsibility for hijacking the Jaffar Express, a passenger train operated by Pakistan Railways on Tuesday. The group released a statement announcing that they had seized control of the train, and reported the deaths of six military personnel, while over 100 passengers remained hostage. In a significant breakthrough, 155 passengers have been successfully rescued, while 27 terrorists have been neutralized by security forces.

According to reports, the attackers remain in contact with their facilitators in Afghanistan, raising concerns about cross-border militant coordination. Meanwhile, suicide bombers are still holding hostages nearby, adding to the complexity of the ongoing operation.
