Russia-Ukraine War: 60 Ukrainian Drones Shot Down Over Moscow in Largest Drone Attack

In a significant escalation, at least 60 Ukrainian drones were shot down over the Russian capital, Moscow, in a massive aerial attack, according to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. The report was confirmed by AP News, citing Russian defense sources.

Flights have been restricted in and out of two Moscow airports, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky. No casualties have been reported, but the attack damaged the roof of a building, Sobyanin said in an online statement. The attack, the biggest on Moscow in months, came on the day of U.S.-Ukraine negotiations in Saudi

This comes amid rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine, with both sides ramping up aerial warfare. Ukraine has increasingly used long-range drones to strike deep into Russian territory, including military and strategic infrastructure. The Russian defense ministry hasn't released any further information about what the drones were supposed to attack or if they plan to respond.
