In a daring and violent attack, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released footage of the Jaffar Express train hijacking that took place in the Bolan region of Balochistan. The incident, which unfolded in the remote and conflict-ridden province, has resulted in significant casualties, with reports indicating that over 40 Pakistani Army soldiers have been killed in the confrontation.
The hijacking occurred after a group of armed BLA militants intercepted the train, which was carrying a significant number of military personnel. Alongside the deaths, a staggering 214 Pakistani soldiers have been taken captive by the Baloch separatist group. The release of the video by the BLA has sparked widespread tensions and raised alarms about the growing instability in the region. The viral video shows a train passing through a mountainous terrain in what appeared to be an area from Balochistan.
Moments later, black smoke was seen billowing from the front coaches of the train, after a visible blast. Some armed men, believed to be Baloch activists were seen near the train, apparently taking the passengers of the train hostage, while the train was seen stationary on the spot. Jaffar Express, with around 500 passengers on board in nine coaches, was on its way from Quetta to Peshawar in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa when it was fired upon between Gudalaar and Piru Koneri in a tunnel. The attack happened on Tuesday and left many passengers injured, while many were taken hostage .The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed it seized control of the train by derailing it. The group said it killed some security personnel and took over 100 people in custody, including security personnel.
