Eid-ul-Fitr or Eid 1445 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 10 as the crescent moon of Shawwal month was not sighted today (April 8). The month of Ramadan 2024 will be completed 30 days tomorrow. The 1st Shawwal 1445 is on Wednesday, 10 April 2024.

Due to tonight's total solar eclipse, the sun will be completely covered by the moon and will align with the Earth in a straight line. This will create more darkness during the daytime in many countries, and as a result, sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon of Eid-ul-Fitr 2024 will be delayed until April 09, 2024.

As per the Indan Standard Time (IST), the total solar eclipse will take place on April 8 from 9.12 pm to 2.22 am. However, KSA declared that Eid-ul-Fitr 2024 will be celebrated on April 10, the first day of Shawwal month 1445. Ramzan Eid in India is likely to be celebrated on April 11.

Meanwhile, in India, the Muslims will search for the crescent of Eid-ul-Fitr 2024 tomorrow (April 9) according to the rituals. If the moon crescent is sighted, the country will celebrate Eid on April 10. If the crescent is not visible, Ramzan Eid will be celebrated on April 11, and the 30 days of fasting will be completed.
