How to Treat Shoe Bites: Simple Home Remedies for Blisters
Along with new clothes, we often buy new shoes during the monsoon season. Shoes and slippers not only give your personality a new look but also enhance the beauty of your feet. However, many times, new shoes can cause problems like blisters, making walking difficult. This issue can also arise from wearing the wrong size shoes. Shoe bites not only make walking difficult but also cause excruciating pain in the affected area. If you too have blisters on your feet from new shoes, try some home remedies to alleviate the discomfort. Here are some tips on treating and preventing shoe bites:
Home Remedies for Shoe Bites
Coconut Oil
If you have leather shoes, oil them to soften the material. Apply olive oil or coconut oil to the shoes. This will make leather shoes more flexible and easier to wear. If you don't want to use oil, you can use a conditioner instead.
Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe vera gel is effective for treating skin irritation. If you have a shoe bite, use aloe vera gel to reduce inflammation and pain. Apply the gel directly to the affected area and leave it on for 20 minutes. Then, wash your feet with cold water.
Petroleum Jelly
If your feet develop blisters after wearing new slippers, use petroleum jelly. Apply it to the affected area and leave it on for a while. After 10 minutes, wash your feet. This will help reduce the injury and soothe the skin.
Neem and Turmeric
Neem and turmeric have anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which can prevent blisters from forming again. Make a paste by mixing neem leaves and turmeric in a bowl. Apply the paste to the affected areas on your feet and leave it on for 30 minutes before washing your feet.
