Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray has come under scrutiny once again regarding the much-discussed Disha Salian case. Disha’s father has filed a petition in the Mumbai High Court, alleging that his daughter was tortured and murdered. Meanwhile, BJP MP Narayan Rane has made serious allegations against Thackeray in a press conference, leading to a heated political exchange.
What Narayan Rane Claims?
In his press conference, MP Narayan Rane claimed that Uddhav Thackeray had personally urged him not to mention Aditya Thackeray’s name in connection with the Disha Salian case. According to Rane, he received two calls regarding this matter.
"At the time of the incident, I received a call from Milind Narvekar saying that Uddhav Thackeray wanted to talk. He requested that Aditya's name should not be mentioned. I said, 'An innocent girl was murdered, and we believe the accused should be punished. Take care of where your children go in the evening.' Dino Morea lives near my house in Juhu, and I know what kind of fuss he creates. So, I advised him to take care of Aditya. To this, he said he would, but he also asked me to cooperate."
Aaditya Thackeray’s Response
Responding to Rane’s accusations, Aaditya Thackeray dismissed them outright while speaking to the media. He said, "It is not my job to pay them. They get their salary to accuse others of dirty things. You must have seen it before they had accused my family, my father, and my party. It has been many years since they left the party, but we still seem to be on their minds. Let them speak. They have been criticizing us since they left, but we do not pay attention to garbage."
