Archana Rothe, Sister of BJP MLA and candidate Pratap Adsad from the Dhamangaon Railway constituency, was attacked by unknown miscreants in Maharashtra's Amravati district. According to the initial information, three assailants ambushed her car near Satefal Phata.
Archana Rothe sustained injuries and was treated at Chandur Railway, and later, she was transferred to Amravati for further treatment. The local police have begun an investigation into the incident and are working to identify the attackers.
Archana Rothe Receives Serious Injuries
According to the reports, the incident occurred at around 8 pm on Monday evening, November 18. The assailants attack her with knife. Adsad is an MLA from the Dhamangaon Railway constituency and has been given a ticket again from the seat by the saffron party.
The incident took place when her sister Rothe was travelling in a car and was ambushed midway by three attackers who attacked her with a knife at Satelfal Fata. Amravati Rural Superintendent of Police Vishal Anand told news agency PTI that she received three injuries on her left arm.
Maharashtra BJP Mahila Morcha President Chitra Kishor Wagh claimed that the attackers wanted to kill her. "We will never tolerate such incidents. We will give a befitting reply to such people," she added.
Wagh allegedly accused Congress candidate Virendra Jagtap from Amravati of creating a conspiracy to attack Archana Rothe. She alleged that Jagtap posted on Facebook about the incident, saying that it was a "stunt" and deleted it after some time.
"After this incident, our candidate or his sister did not give any statement. None of the BJP workers knew about this. But Congress candidate Virendra Jagtap wrote a post on his Facebook saying that it was a stunt and deleted it after some time, I came to know about this from the workers. I just want to ask that if no BJP worker was aware of this, then how did the Congress candidate know? This makes it clear how it happened and who did it. Maha Vikas Aghadi is seeing its defeat and due to that, they are doing this kind of hooliganism but we will not allow this to happen at all," Wagh said to news agency ANI.
