Coronavirus cases is increasing day by day in Maharashtra. There is a shortage of oxygen, beds and medicines. Many people, NGOs are coming forward to help covid patients. Four friends from Beed district have set up a 50-bed covid center without waiting for government help. It has cost them Rs 30 lakh. All four friends contributed in building this covid centre.

Prakash Desarda, Dr. Bhagwan Sanap, Dr. Ganesh Deshpande and Abhijeet Dungarwal have built the Kovid Center on the concept of No Profit-No Loss. Patients who come here are charged less than the government hospital. Abhijeet Dungarwal said that the aim is to take minimum money from the patients so that every patient who comes here can return home with dignity after treatment. He said he should not feel that they were treated free of cost.

Covid 19 Center at IDL English School at Shirur in Beed district is a boon for the people. The Covid Center has 12 oxygen beds and 38 general beds. The center provides 3 meals a day to the patients. The pandemic has spread across the country. In such case, we should also come forward to help with the government. Abhijeet Dungarwal said that we have set up Covid Center at our own cost.

Prakash Desarda said that our Covid Center has a staff of 10 doctors and 40 staff. Since April 18, more than 150 people have been treated and sent home. At present there are 37 active patients. They are undergoing treatment. He also said that alternative oxygen and medicines were available.

What's so special about Covid Center?

The Covid Center has 10 specialist doctors and trained nursing staff. ECG, X-ray, 3 ambulances and 10-15 cylinders of oxygen are always available here. All patients are provided with free medicines, proper facilities for home quarantine. There is also a separate arrangement for the relatives of the patient.
