Beed Sarpanch Murder Case: Pressure Mounts for Minister Dhananjay Munde’s Resignation Amid Ongoing Probe

The murder of Santosh Deshmukh, the sarpanch of Massajog village in Beed district, has sparked outrage across the state. The police filed the chargesheet two days ago, naming Walmik Karad as the prime accused. Amid rising political pressure, demands for the resignation of Minister Dhananjay Munde have intensified.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar held a crucial two-hour meeting, reportedly discussing Munde’s resignation. Minister Dhananjay Munde, along with MPs Sunil Tatkare and Praful Patel, were also present at the meeting, though details have not been disclosed.

The release of images related to Deshmukh’s murder has further fueled public outrage, leading to a surge in social media calls for Munde’s resignation. Social activist Anjali Damania has taken a strong stance, demanding immediate action.

With the legislative session underway, opposition parties have been vocal about their demand for Munde’s resignation from the very first day. The meeting between Fadnavis and Pawar, which lasted from 8:50 PM to 10:30 PM, reportedly included discussions on this growing controversy.
