Buldhana MSRTC Bus Accident: Five Killed After Passenger Bus Collides With SUV on Shegaon-Khamgaon Highway
Five persons were killed in a collision of a bus and an SUV in Maharashtra's Buldhana district on Wednesday morning, April 2. A bus of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) collided with a Bolero on Khamgaon-Shegaon highway. Soon thereafter, a private bus collided with the two vehicles.
According to preliminary information, a speeding Bolero car rammed into an ST bus around 5.30 am. Shortly after, a private passenger bus coming from behind collided with the accident-hit vehicles. The crash resulted in five fatalities and left 24 others injured. Police rushed to the scene and initiated further action. The injured are currently undergoing treatment at a government hospital in Khamgaon. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined.

The Bolero was reportedly traveling from Shegaon to Kolhapur, while the MSRTC bus was en route from Pune to Pherwada. The private passenger transport bus then crashed into both vehicles. The impact was so severe that five people lost their lives, and at least 15 others were injured, seven of whom are in critical condition. The driver of the private bus remains trapped, and police are working to rescue him. All three vehicles sustained heavy damage. A large number of police personnel are present at the scene, and further investigations are underway.
