Chhagan Bhujbal Praises Maharashtra Budget 2025, Calls It ‘Pro-Farmer And Industry-Friendly’ (Watch Video)
NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal has lauded the Maharashtra State Budget 2025-26, calling it a well-balanced and development-oriented financial plan. Speaking after the budget presentation, Bhujbal expressed appreciation for its focus on farmers' welfare, industrial growth, and investment opportunities.
"Today, the budget presented here is a very good budget, and it focuses on the welfare of our farmers. It emphasizes development, the growth of factories and industries, and attracting more investments," Bhujbal stated. Meanwhile finance minister Ajit Pawar has proposed an increase in vehicle tax and stamp duty, delivering a significant financial jolt.

Currently, privately owned non-transport four-wheelers running on CNG and LPG are taxed at a rate of 7 to 9 percent, depending on the vehicle type and price. The budget proposes a 1 percent hike in these rates, which is expected to generate an additional Rs 150 crore in revenue during 2025-26
