At least eight patients have died due to lack of oxygen at a hospital in Chiplun, which is now totally submerged in water due to floods. The district administration has not yet given any official information about this news. Three people have been killed in floods in different parts of the country. Chiplun was flooded from 3 am on Thursday. Aparant Hospital in this area is also caught in the grip of floods. This is a Covid Hospital where 21 patients were undergoing treatment. Some of them were on ventilators. It is learned that 8 of these corona patients died due to lack of oxygen on Friday.

Chiplun has no mobile network and many people's mobiles have been switched off due to lack of electricty as they cannot charge their phones. As a result, the hospital was completely cut off. It is not yet confirmed what actually happened in the hospital but 8 patients have lost their lives.
