In the wake of the shocking Beed sarpanch murder case, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray has raised serious concerns about the Maharashtra government’s inaction and its handling of the case. Thackeray, speaking on Tuesday, expressed his outrage over the brutality of the murder, stating, "When the photos of the murder came out, the entire state of Maharashtra was stunned. The state had never seen such cruelty before." His comments come amid growing outrage over the murder, which has left the public reeling and questioning the law enforcement's response to the crime.
Thackeray pointed out that despite the government being aware of the case for months, no significant action had been taken until now. “The government knew about it for months, but it never acted till today,” Thackeray said, adding to the mounting criticism that the ruling administration failed to address the severity of the situation promptly.
The case took another turn on Tuesday when Maharashtra Minister Dhananjay Munde resigned, citing the pressure surrounding his involvement in the Beed murder case. However, Thackeray believes that mere resignation is not enough to address the issue. "A revised chargesheet needs to be filed in the murder case, and Dhananjay Munde should be made a co-accused," he stated, urging authorities to take a more stringent approach toward the case.
Thackeray’s critique went further as he emphasized the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. He called for more drastic action, stating, “Resignation is not the solution. The government should be dismissed as the law and order situation is terrible, and no one is safe here.” His statement reflects the growing unease and dissatisfaction among the public over the current state of governance in Maharashtra, where citizens feel increasingly vulnerable.Following the announcement of Munde’s resignation, Beed district is on high alert today.
