‘Don’t Provoke Us’: Shiv Sena Leader Sanjay Shirsat's Strong Reply to Sanjay Raut Amid Row

Shinde Sena leader and Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council, Dr. Neelam Gorhe, has made a sensational claim that Uddhav Thackeray could secure a post in Shiv Sena by offering two Mercedes. He made this statement during an interview at the 98th All India Marathi Literature Conference in Delhi, prompting a strong backlash from Sanjay Raut, who criticized Gorhe harshly. The Shiv Sena Shinde group has now responded to Raut's comments.

Raut labeled Gorhe's statement as perverse, recalling Balasaheb Thackeray's remark about her: "Which woman did you bring into the party? This woman left dirt on the plate while leaving." He described her as shameless, corrupt, and unworthy of respect. In response, Shinde group leader and minister Sanjay Shirsat issued a direct warning to Raut.

"Don't provoke us; if we delve deeper, it will be difficult for you," Shirsat warned. He questioned the integrity of the corporation's transactions and implied that everyone knows the truth about the involvement of certain individuals in vandalism. He criticized Raut's party for its decline, noting that newcomers can easily become leaders while loyal Shiv Sainiks are overlooked.

"What kind of man are you if you crumble under a woman's words? Don't push us; if we go deeper, it will be hard for you," Shirsat asserted. He also pointed out that Raut has been under scrutiny, mentioning an ED raid that uncovered 10 lakhs at Raut's home, along with a letter claiming the money was for the Ram temple. "What kind of self-respect does that show?" Shirsat asked, emphasizing that Raut's actions have tarnished his image.

Meanwhile, Gadakh has appointed three to four ministers in his cabinet, and Shirsat noted that despite working for 40 years, he doesn't even receive a phone call on his birthday. He stated that when Shiv Sena's chief ran for election, he would ask candidates if they had money or needed help, contrasting that with the current expectation that candidates inquire about party funding for tickets.
